Air and Waste Management Members, Associates, Students and Friends –
Please join us for A&WMA’s Central Texas Chapter’s meeting on Thursday, August 22nd!
Topic: Global Warming – Time to Adapt
Global Warming has resulted in Ecological Disruption with moderate to severe consequences resulting from increases in historic (past 400,000 years) global average temperatures. A shift in GHG molecules (increased ambient CO2 concentrations) will continue to disrupt the atmospheres delicate carbon cycle balance. This presentation is fact finding not fault finding and looks ahead to what society might expect to witness in the near future.
Speaker: Doug Wolf, Principal Engineer
Doug has developed the sustainable business management practice for multiple clients and office complexes that include carbon accountability, evaluation of alternative and renewable energy resources and reduction in methods of natural resource usage through education and practice. Mr. Wolf received accreditation form the California Air Resources Board as a GHG Lead verifier in 2010. He has been involved in Carbon Disclosure Projects, Climate Action Plan senior review and has assisted clients with carbon trading. Doug instructs environmental courses on Climate Change and Adaptation at California State Universities throughout California.
